Security overview
Security and access controls for real dog-care operations
BarkBase uses encrypted connections, role-based permissions, location-aware access, and accountable staff workflows. We document what is available today and answer procurement questions directly through hello@barkbase.app.
Access and operational controls
BarkBase product capabilities include role and permission structures, location-aware access, access requests, employee context, and PIN workflows for shared front-desk devices. The appropriate setup depends on each customer's roles and locations.
- Assign access according to job responsibilities
- Limit location access where a role does not require company-wide visibility
- Review staff access when responsibilities change
- Use individual accounts where accountability is required
- Protect shared-device workflows with the available controls
Transport and payment boundaries
The BarkBase marketing site is served over HTTPS. Product payment workflows use configured payment providers; prospective customers should confirm the provider, supported region, settlement model, and payment-data responsibilities that apply to their account during contracting.
Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, health records, or other sensitive production data through the public contact email or marketing-site forms.
Vendor and integration review
BarkBase uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate its website and product. The applicable vendor, data location, and processing terms can vary by feature and customer configuration. Request current information when a vendor or transfer requirement is material to your organization.
Certifications and procurement questions
BarkBase does not claim a certification or independent audit unless it is current and available for review. Ask the team for the present certification status, data-processing terms, infrastructure details, backup approach, and recovery information required by your procurement process.
Report a security concern
Send a concise description to hello@barkbase.app with SECURITY in the subject. Include the affected URL or feature, steps to reproduce, expected impact, and a safe way to contact you. Do not access data that is not yours, disrupt service, or publicly disclose an unresolved issue.
